Sindh Government Expands Karachi Bus Routes

The Sindh government, under the leadership of Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, has announced the introduction of new bus routes for the People's Bus Service in Karachi. This decision comes after a meeting attended by elected representatives, officials, and stakeholders to address the public transport needs of the city.

The newly unveiled routes will cover areas such as Malir, Kemari, Lyari, and the western district of Karachi. A key route connecting Numaish to Hawkes Bay has been established to improve accessibility across the city, aiming to make commuting easier for residents.

Minister Memon emphasized the government's commitment to expanding the public transport network to better serve the people of Karachi. Various ongoing projects, including the development of Bus Rapid Transit systems, installation of new traffic signals, and reconstruction of bus terminals, were discussed during the meeting.

One notable initiative is the construction of a dedicated U-turn for the People's Bus Service to enhance operational efficiency. Furthermore, plans are in place to build a parking plaza in central areas of Hyderabad to reduce traffic congestion, demonstrating the government's dedication to enhancing urban transport infrastructure.
