The recent session of the Balochistan Assembly saw the passing of significant resolutions aimed at addressing various issues and promoting development in the province, including condemning truck burning, promoting solar energy, and improving infrastructure in Zhob district.

The recent session of the Balochistan Assembly saw the passing of significant resolutions aimed at addressing various issues and promoting development in the province. Among the key resolutions passed were the condemnation of the burning of 7 trucks in Sinjawi, the registration of 11,000 unregistered tube-wells for conversion to solar energy, the proposal to include the Zhob-Mekhtar 103 km road in the federal PSDP, and the allocation of funds for the construction of the Dub cross road in Pishin.

Chaired by Speaker Capt. (Retd) Abdul Khaliq Achakzai, the assembly decided to postpone the Defense Housing Authority Quetta's Amendment Ordinance 2024 to the next session due to the pending formation of standing committees. Additionally, a resolution was presented to condemn the attack on trucks in Sanjawi and to urge the government to take strict action against the perpetrators.

Another resolution highlighted the importance of converting 29,000 registered agricultural tube-wells to solar energy and recommended the registration of the 11,000 unregistered tube-wells in Balochistan. The assembly also addressed the poor road conditions in Zhob district, particularly focusing on the Zhob-Mekhtar Road, stressing its inclusion in the Federal PSDP for necessary improvements.

Furthermore, a resolution emphasized the construction of the Battezai Levies Check Post to Dub Cross Road, urging the immediate release of allocated funds for the project. The assembly adjourned its sitting and is set to reconvene on Monday, May 27 at 11:00 am.
