The Capital Development Authority in Islamabad intensifies efforts to tackle illegal housing societies, sealing off unauthorized operations and enforcing regulatory standards to protect citizens' rights and promote sustainable urban development.

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) in Islamabad has intensified its efforts to tackle illegal housing societies operating in Zone-4 of the city. Recently, the administrative offices of Rawal Enclave, an unauthorized housing scheme, were sealed by the authorities. This action was taken due to Rawal Enclave's involvement in the illegal buying and selling of plots, which goes against the regulations set forth in the Capital Development Authority Ordinance 1960, ICT Zoning Regulation 1992, and ICT Building Control Regulation 2020.

The CDA had issued multiple warnings through newspaper advertisements, urging the public to refrain from investing in illegal housing schemes. Prospective buyers were advised to verify that the sponsor of any housing society had obtained the necessary No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the CDA after meeting all requirements. To facilitate this process, citizens can access the CDA website at www.cda.gov.pk to check the current status of housing societies and review approved layout plans.

In addition to sealing off unauthorized operations, the CDA emphasized the enforcement of legal measures outlined in CDA Ordinance MLR 63, MLR 82, Environmental Protection 2008, and Landscape Ordinance 5/4. The administration of the Capital Development Authority is prepared to take stringent action against the owners of illegal housing societies to uphold the city's development regulations and protect the interests of residents.

The crackdown on illegal housing schemes in Islamabad reflects the CDA's commitment to maintaining order and compliance within the city's real estate sector. By targeting unauthorized activities and enforcing regulatory standards, the authorities aim to safeguard the rights of citizens and promote sustainable urban development in the capital.
