The Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) in Islamabad has issued directives to enhance cleanliness and beautification efforts in the city. In a recent meeting, the Chairman emphasized the importance of shifting mechanical sweeping operations to nighttime and ensuring simultaneous road washing to maintain cleanliness before morning. Detailed briefings from the Environment Wing led to directives on waste transport, staff attendance, and vehicle tracking.

Additionally, the Chairman proposed various beautification and landscaping initiatives, including inviting a team from Baku for assessment. A significant tree plantation drive was announced to further enhance Islamabad's greenery and attractiveness, with a focus on making the city a prominent tourist destination.

Implementation measures include using covered trucks for waste transport, enforcing defined schedules for garbage trucks, introducing biometric attendance for sanitation staff, and installing trackers on operational vehicles. The Chairman also suggested installing cameras in public-dealing offices and highlighted plans for beautifying all roads in Islamabad.
