Chief Justice Isa leads a significant Supreme Court ruling on the Nasla Tower case, mandating land sale for compensation and addressing road blockades for public access restoration.

In a landmark decision led by Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa, the Supreme Court has delivered a significant ruling regarding the Nasla Tower case. The verdict, announced on Thursday, includes crucial directives aimed at addressing the aftermath of the tower's demolition and restoring public access to obstructed roads.

The court's first directive mandates the sale of Nasla Tower's land to compensate individuals affected by the building's demolition. Following the demise of the builder, affectees are instructed to approach the official assignee with ownership documents for further proceedings.

Furthermore, the court has ordered a report on the market value of Nasla Tower land and the publication of an advertisement for its sale. Details on the adjacent plot and the builder's heirs are also requested.

Simultaneously, the Supreme Court has taken a firm stance against road blockades outside key buildings, emphasizing citizens' right to unimpeded movement. Chief Justice Isa highlighted the encroachment issue, urging authorities to address land seizures and clear encroachments.

Challenging the validity of road blockades for public safety, CJP Isa called for relocating security measures away from public areas to prioritize public access.

This ruling underscores the Supreme Court's commitment to justice, accountability, and citizens' rights, marking a significant step towards resolving the Nasla Tower case and addressing systemic challenges in land management and public security.
