The civil defence department in Faisalabad cracks down on illegal gas decanting activities, sealing shops and booking violators to ensure safety in the gas refilling industry.
In a recent crackdown, the civil defence department in Faisalabad has taken decisive action against illegal gas decanting activities. During the last month, a total of 132 shops were sealed, and 38 shopkeepers were booked for violating regulations related to gas decanting.
The operation, led by Officer Rana Muhammad Abbas and his teams, targeted establishments engaged in illegal gas decanting and flouting rules governing the LPG gas refilling business. The teams not only sealed the offending shops but also initiated legal proceedings against the shopkeepers involved in these illicit activities.
Throughout the month of April, the civil defence department confiscated materials from 72 shops and submitted cases against 61 violators to the court of special judicial magistrates. This concerted effort aims to curb the hazardous practice of illegal gas decanting and ensure compliance with safety regulations in the gas refilling industry.
The stringent measures taken by the civil defence department underscore the importance of upholding safety standards and cracking down on illegal practices in the gas sector. By enforcing regulations and holding violators accountable, authorities are working towards safeguarding public health and preventing potential accidents related to gas decanting.
