Recently, police authorities conducted successful operations in Hazro and Hassanabdal, leading to the apprehension of 18 individuals involved in illegal gambling activities. These crackdowns aimed to curb the illicit practice of gambling within the communities.

In the first incident, acting on a tip-off, law enforcement officers in Hazro arrested five individuals who were caught red-handed engaging in gambling. The police seized gambling paraphernalia and a substantial amount of betting money totaling Rs 1.86 million during this operation.

Following this, the Hassanabdal Police launched a raid on another gambling establishment, resulting in the arrest of thirteen individuals found participating in illicit gambling activities. Similar to the previous raid, gambling tools and bet money amounting to Rs 1.34 million were confiscated.

Both police departments have registered separate cases under the Gambling Act and have initiated thorough investigations to uncover any further illegal activities related to gambling in the area.
