Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) is gearing up to tackle the issue of illegal housing schemes in the region. The Director General of RDA, Kinza Murtaza, has announced the formation of a task force to crack down on these unauthorized developments. Murtaza emphasized that strict enforcement of the law will be carried out against those flouting regulations.

The planning wing of RDA has been instructed to intensify efforts to curb the proliferation of illegal housing schemes that exploit and mislead unsuspecting citizens. Any unauthorized development activities, advertisements, or events related to illegal housing schemes will be halted immediately.
In case of non-compliance, stringent legal actions will be taken against violators under the Punjab Development of Cities Act 1976 and Punjab Development Authorities Private Housing Scheme Rules 2021.
