Commissioner Ghulam Mustafa Phul of Larkana Division has issued a stern directive to SEPCO officials to swiftly disconnect illegal connections and enhance the efficiency of recovery processes to prevent financial losses to the government. This directive came during a high-level meeting presided over by the Commissioner, with the presence of key officials such as SSPs, Deputy Commissioners, and Superintendent Engineers from various districts.

The Commissioner stressed the importance of accelerating the collection of dues and ensuring that all funds are properly deposited into the government treasury. He also emphasized the immediate cessation of illegal connections, cautioning SEPCO officials against engaging in any unjust practices like illegal loading and over-billing that could inconvenience the public.

It was revealed during the meeting that over 700 FIRs were registered in the Shikarpur Circle prior to the elections held in September and December 2023. The Commissioner underscored the significance of taking decisive action against individuals with unauthorized connections as per the guidelines of the Divisional Task Force.

Moreover, the Deputy Commissioners were tasked with organizing district task force committee meetings and submitting their reports to the Commissioner. SSP Larkana, Mir Rohal Khal Khoso, reported the lodging of 434 FIRs in the Larkana range, along with the implementation of a security plan.
