Commissioner Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat leads a successful cleanliness drive in Quetta, collecting tons of waste and improving civic amenities for residents.

The ongoing cleanliness drive in Quetta, led by Commissioner Quetta Division/Administrator Quetta Metropolitan Corporation, Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat, has made significant progress in improving the city's cleanliness standards. Under the guidance of the Chief Minister of Balochistan, the initiative has resulted in the collection of more than 150,000 tons of waste from Quetta.

Efforts to address cleanliness challenges have been intensified, with a focus on enhancing civic amenities for the residents. The Quetta Metropolitan Corporation (QMC) is utilizing heavy machinery daily to manage the approximately 1.5 million tons of garbage generated annually by the city.

Administrator QMC, Hamza Shafqaat, emphasized the regular conduct of comprehensive cleanliness drives in all areas of Quetta, from Sariyab to Nawan Killi. The Corporation is ensuring efficient waste collection and disposal through round-the-clock operations involving heavy machinery and dedicated staff.

To further boost the cleaning campaign, operations will now extend into night hours, aiming to immediately improve cleanliness standards across the city. Joint efforts by the metropolitan corporation and district administration are also targeting illegal encroachments on drains and focusing on cleaning and maintaining drainage systems in Quetta.
