In Faisalabad, Pakistan, CPO Muhammad Ali Zia leads arrests of three individuals for engaging in celebratory gunfire at a wedding event, as captured in viral social media videos. The suspects were promptly detained, and illegal weapons seized following police intervention.

On April 17, 2024, in Faisalabad, Pakistan, the police arrested three individuals following the intervention of City Police Officer (CPO) Captain (retd) Muhammad Ali Zia. The arrests were made in response to viral videos circulating on social media, depicting individuals engaging in celebratory gunfire. Police spokesperson Nawaz disclosed that Abdullah and Aamash Raza from Chak No. 82-GB were seen brandishing weapons and firing shots in celebration at a wedding event, with the video subsequently shared online. Upon being alerted, CPO Faisalabad instructed the relevant authorities to promptly apprehend the suspects. Subsequently, SHO Roshanwala police station Muhammad Imran successfully located and detained the two individuals, seizing a pistol (30-bore), a repeater (12-bore), as well as multiple magazines and bullets. The arrested individuals were placed in custody after the filing of separate cases against them under FIR No.469/24 and 470/24.

Additionally, Sadar police arrested Abdul Jabbar from Chak No. 226-RB, Malkhanwala, for a similar offense. Abdul Jabbar was found publicly displaying weapons, firing shots in celebration, and sharing the video on social media. An illicit weapon was confiscated from his possession, with ongoing investigations into the matter.
