Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Nayyar Sheikh in Faisalabad intensifies efforts to control prices, combat adulteration, and improve public health and cleanliness initiatives.

Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Nayyar Sheikh has issued directives to price control magistrates in Faisalabad to intensify their efforts in ensuring the availability of Roti/Naan at a fixed rate with its full weight throughout the district. This initiative comes as part of the government's commitment to providing relief to the masses, with the Roti/Naan rates set on the special instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz.

During a recent meeting, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed 17 agenda items with representatives from various departments. He emphasized the importance of monitoring tandoors, hotels, shops, and stalls to prevent overcharging and profiteering. Price control magistrates have been tasked with conducting regular inspections and taking strict action against any violations without bias.

Furthermore, efforts are underway to address issues of encroachment, wall chalking, and ensure the proper functioning of water filtration plants. The Municipal Corporation has been instructed to prioritize the repair and maintenance of streetlights, while the Parks & Horticulture Authority is focusing on enhancing public parks and green spaces for the community's enjoyment.

Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the crackdown on adulteration and quackery, stressing the need for a vigorous campaign to eradicate these practices. The health officers have been directed to prioritize cleanliness drives, especially in rural areas, as part of the government's focus on improving public health in Suthra Punjab.

Lastly, the Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) has been urged to expedite the de-silting and cleaning of sewer lines and drains, along with ensuring the proper covering of open manholes to enhance public safety.

The directives issued by Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Nayyar Sheikh underscore the government's commitment to promoting price control, public welfare, and cleanliness initiatives in Faisalabad. These efforts aim to enhance the quality of life for residents and ensure a fair and safe environment for all.
