Dr. Rasheed Masood Khan Leads Anti-Polio Campaign in Mirpurkhas

Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rasheed Masood Khan has highlighted the crucial need for effective measures in the upcoming anti-polio campaign set to take place from July 1st to July 5th in Mirpurkhas. In a recent meeting held at the commissioner's office, Dr. Khan directed health department officials to ensure that every child under 5 years old receives polio drops. Discussions with District Health Officer Dr. Jai Ramdas and Polio Program Focal Person Dr. Narayandas Jagani revealed challenges faced in previous campaigns. Despite vaccinating 4,280 children during school holidays in other cities, logistical issues led to some children being missed, impacting the campaign's targets.

To address these obstacles, Dr. Jagani announced the establishment of dedicated teams for the upcoming campaign. These teams will focus on achieving comprehensive coverage and ensuring that all eligible children receive polio drops, with the aim of effectively meeting the campaign's objectives.
