The Sindh and Punjab Education Departments have declared summer holidays to provide relief from the heat, with adjusted school timings in Punjab. Students and teachers welcome the standardized approach, emphasizing the importance of balancing academic rigor with adequate rest.

The Sindh Education Department has officially declared summer holidays for all schools in the province, including Karachi, from June 1st to July 31st. This decision aims to provide relief to students and teachers from the scorching heat. Similarly, the Punjab government had earlier announced summer holidays from June 1st to August 14th, setting a precedent for other provinces. The Punjab Education Department has also adjusted school timings to mitigate the effects of extreme weather conditions.

Under the new schedule in Punjab, schools will operate from 7:00 am to 11:30 am from Monday to Thursday, and from 7:00 am to 10:30 am on Fridays. The decision in Sindh was made based on the Steering Committee's recommendation, ensuring a standardized approach to the summer break across the province. Students and teachers have welcomed this move, appreciating the opportunity to rest and recharge during the hot summer months.

These summer holidays serve as a necessary break to help students recuperate and prepare for the upcoming academic year. It is a time for relaxation and rejuvenation, allowing students to return to their studies with renewed vigor and enthusiasm. The education departments' decisions prioritize the well-being and safety of students, emphasizing the importance of balancing academic rigor with adequate rest.
