Lahore Education Department Adjusts School Timings for Summer

The education department in Punjab's capital city, Lahore, has declared the summer timings for schools, effective from April 15. Following the conclusion of the Eidul Fitr holidays from April 10 to 14, all educational institutions are scheduled to reopen on April 15. The decision to implement revised timings comes as temperatures begin to rise in the plain areas of the province.

Starting next week, schools in Lahore will open at 7:30 am and close at 1:30 pm from Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, the closing time will be 12 pm. Private schools have also adjusted their schedules, with classes from playgroup to class 10 following a similar pattern. Playgroup classes will conclude at 11:30 am, while Nursery and Prep classes will end at 12:30 pm.
