Energy Projects in Duiker and Nasirabad to Boost Supply

Duiker Phase II, a significant energy project, is set to undergo expansion, increasing its generation capacity and battery storage. The project, located in an effort to improve electricity supply, is scheduled for commissioning in November 2024.

The upgrade will see the generation capacity of Duiker Phase II rise from 1MWp to 1.6MWp, while the battery storage will increase from 0.6MWh to 1MWh. This enhancement will result in a substantial increase in electricity supply, benefiting an additional 8,760 individuals in the region.

Moreover, a new Solar Power Plant is on the horizon for Nasirabad in lower Hunza. This plant will have a capacity of 2MWp and 1MWh battery storage, further contributing to the region's energy infrastructure.

The developments in Duiker Phase II and the upcoming Solar Power Plant in Nasirabad mark significant progress in enhancing energy generation and storage capabilities in the region.
