Exam Result Accuracy Concerns Spark Investigations

Recent incidents in Gujarat's Kharasana village and Mumbai University have highlighted issues with exam result accuracy, raising concerns among students and parents.

In Kharasana village, a student initially received impossible scores of 212 out of 200 in Mathematics and 211 out of 200 in Gujarati. Upon showing her mark sheet to her parents, the error was discovered, and the school corrected the marks to 191 and 190, respectively. This incident has prompted the school to launch an investigation into the matter.

Similarly, in 2023, Mumbai University faced a similar issue where students were awarded marks exceeding the total in a mathematics examination. Scores like 115 out of 100, 105, 101, 109, 111, and 106 were mistakenly given due to a technical issue in the software. The university has assured students that the errors will be rectified, and revised results will be issued promptly.
