Field Officer Azhar Iqbal leads education awareness walk

An awareness walk was organized in Chitral to encourage the enrollment of children in government schools. The event, held at the historic Government Primary School Drosh established in 1938, aimed to emphasize the importance of education for all children.

The walk, led by Field Officer Azhar Iqbal and attended by various community members, highlighted the government's commitment to ensuring that every child, including Afghan refugees, has access to education. Participants stressed that education is a fundamental right for every child and urged parents to enroll their children in schools by the age of five.

However, concerns were raised regarding the delay in providing free books to government schools in Chitral, despite the academic year already underway. Community leaders criticized the education department for failing to supply necessary resources to support the education drive effectively.

Despite these challenges, the event successfully promoted the importance of education and encouraged parents to prioritize their children's schooling. Similar initiatives are being carried out across lower Chitral to boost enrollment rates and enhance educational opportunities for all children in the region.
