Additional Chief Secretary South Punjab Fuad Hashim Rabbani, along with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Multan Capt. (Retd) Rizwan Qadeer, spearheaded an awareness rally in the city to amplify efforts in preventing dengue fever across south Punjab. The rally aimed to raise awareness and encourage public participation in combating the increased risk of dengue following recent rains.

During the rally, Fuad Hashim Rabbani emphasized the crucial role of public involvement in the success of the dengue prevention campaign. He highlighted the need for civil society to actively engage in eradicating dengue larvae to safeguard the community from the disease.

DC Rizwan Qadeer reported the strict enforcement of a zero-tolerance policy against Dengue Act violations in Multan. More than 300 notices have been issued, and several buildings have been sealed in the past month to curb the spread of dengue. Additionally, special wards for dengue patient treatment have been set up in local hospitals to ensure prompt medical care.

The collaborative efforts of government officials, led by Fuad Hashim Rabbani and DC Rizwan Qadeer, underscore the importance of proactive measures in safeguarding public health and mitigating the threat of dengue fever in the region.
