DC Islamabad Leads Vigorous Dengue Prevention Campaign

Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon, spearheaded a crucial weekly meeting aimed at assessing and addressing the prevailing dengue situation in the capital city. Officials disclosed alarming findings during the session, revealing the presence of dengue larvae at a staggering 650 locations across Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).

The proactive response from the DC was swift and resolute. Specific directives were issued to Assistant Commissioners to take stringent actions against establishments where dengue larvae were detected. This encompassed a wide array of locations, including nurseries, construction sites, and hotels. An FIR has already been lodged in connection with this matter, signaling the seriousness of the situation. Furthermore, plans are underway to extend this crackdown to encompass factories, tire shops, and private schools in the coming weeks.

Emphasizing the pivotal role of community engagement in combating dengue, the DC stressed the significance of citizen involvement in prevention efforts.
