The sanitation system in all seven districts and twenty-five towns of Karachi is being effectively managed, ensuring a cleaner environment for residents.

Following the recent Eid-ul-Azha celebrations, the city is gearing up for drain cleaning operations to maintain cleanliness standards. Mayor Karachi Wahab, in a ceremony, praised the success of the cleanliness initiative in the expansion areas of Malir district. The distribution of garbage bins across all Karachi towns, in line with Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's vision, is a key focus, leading to the removal of millions of tons of waste and a visible improvement in sanitation conditions.

Preparations are underway to enhance drainage systems ahead of the upcoming monsoon season, with plans for drain cleaning tenders post-Eid. Collaborative efforts with town chairmen and increased machinery deployment by KMC are set to further improve service delivery and cleanliness in the city.

Special arrangements have been made for the disposal of offal from sacrificial animals, with a hundred collection points designated for efficient waste management. Residents are encouraged to report any concerns through the 1128 helpline for quick resolution.

Managing Director of Sindh Solid Waste Management Board, Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah, highlighted the production of 1000 dustbins for Malir district, urging residents to protect these resources. The proactive measures taken during Eid-ul-Azha demonstrate Karachi's dedication to cleanliness and community well-being.

The efforts led by Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab and other officials to enhance cleanliness and waste management in the city are commendable. With a focus on efficient sanitation systems, drainage improvements, and community involvement, Karachi is on track to becoming a cleaner and healthier environment for all its residents. By working together and staying committed to cleanliness initiatives, the city can continue to progress towards a more sustainable future.
