Hazara Police Ensures Security and Progress of Hydropower Projects

The Hazara Police, under the leadership of Deputy Inspector General (DIG), is actively involved in ensuring the security and progress of key hydropower projects in the region. The Suki Kinari, Dasu, and Bhasha Hydropower projects have been identified as crucial for the country's development, with the police and armed forces working together to safeguard these initiatives.

In a recent statement, the DIG highlighted the significance of these projects at local, provincial, and national levels. Efforts are also underway to combat drug abuse in the Hazara region, with daily operations targeting drug traffickers to address this pressing issue.

As the Eid-ul-Azha festival approaches, a comprehensive security and traffic plan has been put in place to manage the expected influx of tourists. The police have been instructed not to issue traffic tickets to tourists during this period, and a Citizens Traffic Committee will be established to improve traffic management in Abbottabad.

During his inspection of the hydropower projects, the DIG emphasized the benefits these projects will bring to the region. Local stakeholders in Kohistan have also been briefed on the advantages of these initiatives, highlighting their positive impact on the community.

With tourist destinations like Nathia Gali, Ayubia, and Naran attracting visitors during Eid-ul-Azha, the police are committed to providing top-notch security services to ensure a safe experience for all. Measures to enhance traffic management, such as removing illegal bus stops and installing security cameras, are being proposed to address traffic challenges effectively.
