Shehbaz Sharif addresses technical fault at hydropower project

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower Project in Azad Jammu and Kashmir to address a recent technical fault that disrupted power generation. The 969-megawatt project faced a similar issue last year, resulting in a year-long suspension before being fixed. Concerned about the delay in the inquiry report, the prime minister instructed officials to expedite the investigation and resume power generation promptly after necessary repairs.

Additionally, Shehbaz Sharif praised the efforts of the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) and the NJHP company for addressing the tunnel fault and restoring power generation after the previous incident.
