Hyderabad Cylinder Blast Claims 12 Lives, Mayor Offers Compensation

Recently, Karachi officials confirmed that the death toll from the tragic Hyderabad cylinder blast has risen to 12. The incident, which took place at a LNG cylinder shop in the Preetabad area of Hyderabad, resulted in severe burns for many individuals, including the unfortunate passing of 45-year-old Muhammad Akram, son of Munshi.

Prior to Akram's demise, 32-year-old Faizan Ishaq was also a victim of the blast and was laid to rest. Mayor Kashif Shoro of Hyderabad visited the affected area to offer condolences and announced that the Sindh government would provide compensation of Rs1 million to the families of each deceased person and Rs500,000 for the injured.

Following the initial explosion that caused two deaths and 49 injuries, the injured were promptly taken to hospitals for treatment. Eyewitnesses noted delays in containing the fire as the fire brigade arrived 40 minutes after the blast.

Aside from the loss of lives, the blast also resulted in damage to nearby properties and burn injuries to individuals in the vicinity. The community has rallied together to support the affected families during this challenging time.
