A fire incident at a cable duct hole in Islamabad led to temporary power suspension in certain areas. IESCO is swiftly responding to restore electricity and ensure safety measures for uninterrupted power supply.

Over the weekend, a fire incident occurred at the cable duct hole of an 11 KV near Parade Ground in Islamabad, resulting in the temporary suspension of power supply to four feeders in the Khana Dak and Rawal sub-division. The affected feeders, including Services Road, East Highway, Zia Masjid, and Iqbal Town, were impacted by this unforeseen event, as reported by a spokesperson from the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO).

The IESCO spokesperson assured that power supply to the affected areas is currently being maintained through alternate feeders to minimize the disruption caused by the incident. The company expressed its regret to consumers for any inconvenience experienced due to the temporary power suspension.

While the fire at the cable duct hole led to a brief power outage in certain areas of Islamabad, IESCO is working diligently to ensure that electricity is restored promptly through alternative means. It is essential for residents to remain patient and cooperate with the authorities during this time. Safety measures are being implemented to prevent such incidents in the future, emphasizing the importance of maintaining infrastructure to avoid disruptions in power supply.
