The Karnataka Police are investigating a series of bomb threats targeting airports across India, including Mangaluru International Airport. Heightened security measures have been implemented to ensure the safety of passengers and airport personnel.

Recently, the Karnataka Police have initiated an investigation into a series of bomb threats received at the Mangaluru International Airport, along with over 30 other airports across India. The probe was launched following a complaint by Monesh K.G., the chief security officer at the Mangaluru airport, regarding a threatening email received on April 29 at 9.37 a.m. The email, sent by an unidentified individual, claimed the presence of explosives on the airport premises and in aircraft, threatening loss of life.

Subsequent investigations revealed that the same suspect had targeted more than 30 airports nationwide, sending similar threat emails. The email was distributed to over 90 email addresses of airports and security agencies, including the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). An FIR has been filed at a Mangaluru police station in connection with this incident, as authorities work to ensure the safety and security of all airports involved.

In light of these threats, security measures have been heightened at airports to prevent any potential risks and ensure the safety of passengers and airport personnel. The Karnataka Police are actively working to identify and apprehend the individual responsible for these malicious emails, emphasizing the seriousness of such threats to aviation security.
