The Lahore High Court Chief Justice Malik Shehzad Ahmed Khan has called for a full court meeting on April 22 to address concerns regarding the protection of judicial independence. Six Islamabad High Court judges raised allegations of interference in judicial affairs by the country's intelligence agencies. The judges reported instances of pressure, abduction, torture of relatives, and surveillance inside their homes. This led to calls for a probe into the matter.

Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa initiated a full court meeting to address the concerns.
