Lyallpur Museum Faisalabad announces new regulations, partnerships, and preservation efforts to enrich cultural heritage and engage with the community.

Lyallpur Museum Faisalabad, which was established in 2009 and has been operational since 2012, recently announced the finalization of its rules and regulations after a 12-year period. The decision was made during a Board of Governors meeting chaired by Dr. Aamer Sarfraz on the occasion of International Museum Day.

As part of the new regulations, the museum can now establish official partnerships, marking a significant step in expanding its cultural reach. A special calligraphy exhibition showcasing the works of the late Hafiz Anjum will be inaugurated by Silvat Saeed, Commissioner Faisalabad, at the museum to commemorate this milestone.

In addition, a five-member HR committee has been formed to evaluate the eligibility of long-serving daily wage employees, with recommendations expected within a month. During the meeting, the museum's curator highlighted the need for pending rehabilitation work and emphasized the importance of acquiring environmental control equipment.

The museum administration has been granted the authority to collaborate with educational and cultural institutions to enhance its cultural activities, fostering a more dynamic cultural environment in the region. Furthermore, the historical significance of Singh Sabha Gurdwara near Clock Tower was underscored, leading to a proposal to relocate a government school to preserve the Gurdwara as a vital part of Lyallpur's heritage.

The Board of Governors passed a resolution to maintain the Gurdwara as a valuable historical site, enriching the cultural heritage of Lyallpur and the Sandal Bar region.

The recent developments at Lyallpur Museum Faisalabad signify a significant milestone in its journey to promote cultural heritage and engage with the community. By establishing new partnerships, addressing employee welfare, and preserving historical sites, the museum is poised to play a pivotal role in enriching the cultural landscape of the region.
