An extraordinary jirga of tribal leaders from across the Kurram district convened at Governor Cottage Parachinar, with the presence of GOC 9 Division Major General Zulfiqar Ali Bhatti and prominent tribal leaders and elders from Upper, Lower, and Central Kurram. The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Javed Ullah Mehsud chaired the grand Jirga, emphasizing the restoration of peace in Kurram district through significant sacrifices and urging local leaders to collaborate with the government for its maintenance.

During the Jirga, DC Mehsud outlined the aims and objectives, stressing the importance of cooperation to uphold peace. Major Gen Zulfiqar Ali Bhatti assured that security forces would maintain peace in Kurram district and take action against miscreants. He highlighted the successful operations against terrorism incidents, emphasizing the need for permanent solutions with the community's support.

The GOC emphasized the formation of peace and implementation committees by local tribes, whose proposals would enhance security measures on highways and communication routes. He condemned recent terrorist attacks and called for sustained peace in Kurram district. Tribal leaders also condemned terrorism incidents, pledging full cooperation with security agencies and expressing solidarity with the Pakistan Army and law enforcement.
