Federal Minister Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui unveils plans for a teacher training program in Islamabad to improve education quality, address challenges, and implement innovative strategies like breakfast incentives and Daanish schools project.

The Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, has unveiled plans to launch a comprehensive teacher training program in Islamabad. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of education by providing support from international institutions and local universities. Minister Siddiqui also highlighted the challenges faced by schools under the Federal Directorate of Education in the capital, such as the shortage of facilities and teachers.

In response to these issues, efforts are being made to recruit new teachers in Islamabad and address the existing shortage. The government is also actively working to enroll out-of-school children, with a specific focus on overcoming poverty as a barrier to education. One notable success has been the implementation of breakfast incentives in federal capital schools, leading to a significant increase in student attendance from 40 percent to 80 percent.

If the breakfast incentive program continues to yield positive outcomes in Islamabad, there are plans to expand it nationwide. Furthermore, progress has been achieved on the Daanish schools project in the capital. Originally launched in Punjab in 2010, Daanish schools provide free quality education and boarding facilities to underprivileged children. The allocated land for the Daanish schools project in Islamabad has been expanded from 10 acres to 30 acres to accommodate this important initiative.

The government's commitment to improving education in Islamabad through initiatives like teacher training programs, addressing teacher shortages, and implementing innovative strategies like breakfast incentives and the Daanish schools project is commendable. These efforts not only aim to enhance the quality of education but also to ensure that all children, regardless of their background, have access to learning opportunities. By prioritizing education, the government is taking significant steps towards building a brighter future for the youth of Pakistan.
