Prime Ministers of Pakistan and Malaysia express solidarity with Palestine, discuss bilateral trade, and strengthen diplomatic relations during a recent telephone call.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan and Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim of Malaysia recently expressed solidarity with the innocent Palestinian people during a telephone call on Wednesday. The two leaders exchanged warm wishes on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, with Prime Minister Sharif expressing hopes for peace, progress, and prosperity for both nations and the Muslim Ummah during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Prime Minister Sharif reiterated his commitment to strengthening ties with Malaysia and extended an invitation for Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to visit Pakistan later this year. He also mentioned the translation of Allama Iqbal's works into the Malaysian language, which might be launched during the Malaysian prime minister's visit.

Highlighting the importance of enhancing bilateral trade, Prime Minister Sharif invited a trade delegation from Malaysia to Pakistan and expressed Pakistan's readiness to send a delegation to Malaysia to promote trade, especially in the export of meat to Malaysia.

During the call, the leaders discussed Malaysia's support for Palestine and its stance against Israel's actions in Gaza. They also touched upon Malaysia's solidarity on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim expressed gratitude for the invitation to visit Pakistan and emphasized the importance of advancing bilateral ties on various mutual interests.
