Pakistan Railways Initiates Eidul Azha Fare Reduction

Pakistan Railways has taken a significant step to assist passengers during Eidul Azha 2024 by announcing a 25% reduction in fares. This move aims to provide relief to travelers during the festive season. In addition to the fare reduction, the Awam Express (13Up, 14Dn) will now make a brief stop at Chaklala Railway Station for two minutes, offering temporary convenience to the public for the next three months. This decision comes as a welcome change for commuters in the region and will be effective immediately.

The fare reduction will be applicable to all passenger trains, except for Eid special trains, for the three days of Eidul Azha 2024. This initiative is part of Pakistan Railways' efforts to improve public service and is specifically available for current bookings. Earlier in May 2024, Pakistan Railways had already decreased fares for various train classes, with economy class fares being reduced by up to 54% and air-conditioned class fares lowered by 40%.

The recent announcement by Pakistan Railways to reduce fares and introduce a new stop at Chaklala Railway Station demonstrates the organization's commitment to enhancing passenger experience and providing affordable travel options.
