On Sunday, a devastating event unfolded in Lakki Marwat district as an improvised explosive device exploded on a vehicle transporting Security Forces. This resulted in the tragic loss of a Captain and six soldiers of the Pakistan Army. The fallen heroes were identified as Captain Muhammad Faraz Ilyas, Subedar Major Muhammad Nazir, Lance Naik Muhammad Anwar, Lance Naik Hussain Ali, Sepoy Asad Ullah, Sepoy Manzoor Hussain, and Sepoy Rashid Mehmood.

The region is currently undergoing thorough security operations to eliminate any remaining threats, and the individuals responsible for this despicable act will be held accountable. The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) has reiterated the unwavering commitment of Pakistan's security forces to combat terrorism, with the sacrifices of these courageous soldiers only strengthening their determination.

Captain Muhammad Faraz Ilyas, a Kasur district native, had recently joined the Pakistan Army and was scheduled to get married on June 19, 2024. Subedar Major Muhammad Nazir, from Skardu district, had devoted 31 years to serving the nation and leaves behind a large family. Lance Naik Hussain Ali, hailing from Ghizer district, served for 14 years and is survived by his immediate family.

Lance Naik Muhammad Anwar, a resident of Ganche district, served for 13 years and is mourned by his wife and children. Sepoy Manzoor, from Gilgit district, served for 6 years and is survived by his wife and daughters. Sepoy Asadullah, originally from Multan, served for 14 years and leaves behind a wife and son.

Sepoy Rashid Mehmood, a Rawalpindi native, served for 13 years and is mourned by his family. The nation's leaders, including President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, expressed profound grief over the loss of these brave security personnel.
