The workshop organized by the Young Engineers Development Committee of Pakistan Engineering Council at SSUET aimed to enhance professional effectiveness for engineers. The event featured a Confirmation Letter Distribution Ceremony for 300 engineers selected for PMP training, emphasizing the importance of skill enhancement and capacity building in the engineering sector.

The Young Engineers Development Committee of Pakistan Engineering Council recently organized a workshop at Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET) in Karachi. The workshop aimed to enhance professional effectiveness in the workplace for engineers. The event also featured a Confirmation Letter Distribution Ceremony where 300 engineers from Sindh Province were selected to undergo Project Management Professional (PMP) training, each valued at Rs. 45,000.

The Chief Guest at the ceremony was Engr. Mohammad Najeeb Haroon, the Chairman of Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). Notable attendees included Dr. Tariq Rafi, Chairman HEC Sindh, Cdr. (r) Syed Sarfraz Ali, Registrar SSUET, and various deans from different faculties.

Engr. Mohammad Najeeb Haroon emphasized the importance of skill enhancement for engineers to meet industry demands and international standards. He highlighted PEC's role as the regulatory body for engineering regulations and its efforts to support stakeholders in the sector.

Engr. Mohammad Nasir Khalily, the Convener of YEDC, stressed the significance of equipping young engineers with modern tools and techniques to contribute to Pakistan's development. Plans were announced to extend the PMP training program to engineers from other provinces as well.

Dr. Prof. Vali Uddin, Vice Chancellor of SSUET, expressed gratitude towards PEC for their initiatives in capacity building and skills enhancement for engineers. He commended the efforts of YEDC under the leadership of Engr. Mohammad Nasir Khalily.

Engr. Adeel Siddiqui conducted an interactive session during the event, providing guidance on job interview etiquette, work ethics, and professionalism. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of confirmation letters for the PMP Training Program to the 300 engineers from Sindh.

The workshop on professional effectiveness for engineers held in Karachi was a significant step towards enhancing the skills and capabilities of young engineers in Pakistan. The event not only provided valuable training opportunities but also emphasized the importance of continuous learning and development in the engineering sector.
