The Hajj season in Sialkot begins with the departure of the first flight carrying pilgrims to Saudi Arabia. Meticulously planned operations and collaborative efforts promise a safe and rewarding journey for all participants.

The Hajj season is officially underway as the first flight carrying 301 male and female pilgrims from Sialkot is set to depart for Saudi Arabia. The In-charge of Hajj Operations in Sialkot, Syed Majeeb Shah, announced that the flight PK-717 will take off from Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL) on Sunday. This marks the beginning of a series of 12 direct Hajj flights from SIAL, transporting a total of 3,450 pilgrims.

Amidst ongoing runway construction at SIAL, three flights have already departed from Lahore with 605 pilgrims bound for Saudi Arabia. The entire Hajj operation, scheduled from May 19 to June 8, has been meticulously planned and coordinated by key stakeholders including the airport administration, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), and the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

A special ceremony is planned at SIAL to bid farewell to the pilgrims of the first flight. The event will be graced by the presence of Provincial Minister for Local Government Zeeshan Rafiq and other dignitaries. The collaborative efforts of all parties involved aim to ensure a seamless and successful Hajj journey for the pilgrims.
