Revenue Board Boosts Tax Collection Efforts

In June, the tax collection process witnessed a significant development as the revenue board faced the challenge of gathering Rs43 billion daily to meet the annual tax target. This target became crucial after the revenue board fell short of its 11-month goal by a considerable margin.

The sales tax collection for the period totaled Rs2.77 trillion, marking an increase of Rs453 billion, which represents a growth of 20% compared to the previous period.
