Saeed Ghani spearheads transformative Malir Expressway project in Karachi

The Malir Expressway project, championed by Sindh Minister for Local Government, Housing, Town Planning, and Public Health Engineering, SaeedGhani, is set to revolutionize transportation in Karachi. Minister Ghani recently visited the project sites of Korangi Causeway and Malir Expressway to oversee the progress firsthand. He emphasized the importance of timely completion and accessibility for all commuters, both within the city and from the outskirts.

The Malir Expressway, stretching 39 kilometers from Quaidabad to Super Highway, is progressing rapidly, with a partial opening scheduled for August 14, 2024, and full completion expected by June of the following year. Once operational, this expressway is poised to significantly reduce travel time and improve the overall transportation infrastructure of Karachi.

During his inspection in the District Central area, Minister Ghani directed project officials to expedite the completion of ongoing projects, including the Korangi Underpass, to minimize public inconvenience. He also highlighted the importance of addressing critical infrastructure needs such as sewage and rainwater drain projects to enhance the quality of life for residents.
