Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah recently visited Karachi to oversee the progress of several key development projects in the city. During his visit, CM Shah highlighted the importance of addressing delays in the completion of crucial infrastructure projects to enhance the city's connectivity and ease traffic congestion.

Accompanied by provincial ministers and government officials, CM Shah expressed concern over the delays in the Malir Expressway and Karimabad Underpass projects. He specifically pointed out the obstacles hindering the completion of Segment-I of the Malir Expressway, such as issues with relocating installations of K-Electric and Sui Southern Gas Company. CM Shah directed authorities to expedite the resolution of these issues by facilitating a meeting with the companies involved.

Additionally, CM Shah addressed encroachment and land disputes at the Quaidabad interchange, instructing the deputy commissioner to take immediate action to resolve these issues. He also emphasized the importance of ensuring the security of construction staff working on these projects to maintain a safe working environment.

During his inspection of the New Jam Sadiq Bridge, part of the Bus Rapid Transit Yellow Line corridor, CM Shah urged the project director to accelerate the construction process to meet project timelines. He also visited the Karimabad Underpass project and stressed the significance of completing it on schedule to alleviate traffic congestion in the area.

Other projects reviewed by CM Shah included the Bakhtiari Youth Centre in North Nazimabad, road rehabilitation near Gulberg Chowrangi, and the reconstruction of Shahrah-i-Noor Jahan. These projects underscore the government's commitment to enhancing infrastructure and promoting development in Karachi.
