Abbottabad City Devastated by Severe Flooding

Abbottabad city faced a catastrophic event on Sunday as heavy rain lashed the area for two consecutive hours, resulting in severe flooding that engulfed half of the city. The relentless downpour disrupted daily life and caused widespread destruction, leaving a trail of devastation in its wake.

The flash floods submerged key areas of the city, including Mandian, Supply, Jhangi Qazian, Jhangi Saydan, and Sir Syed Colony, washing away furniture and household items. Major roads like KKH, Murree Road, Kakul Road, Mandian, and Supply Bazaar were inundated, transforming residential neighborhoods into waterlogged zones.

Furthermore, Galyat and Thandiani witnessed the destruction of numerous thoroughfares and connecting roads due to heavy rain, landslides, and flash floods. Several regions have been designated as disaster-stricken zones, with hundreds of vehicles stranded on flooded roads.
