Heat Wave Warning Issued for South Punjab Districts

The meteorological department's forecast for Lahore predicts a scorching day ahead, with temperatures ranging from 27 to 44 degrees Celsius. The city is set to experience hot and dry weather conditions with no chance of rain. Humidity levels are at 35 percent, and the wind speed is around five kilometres per hour.

Meanwhile, the Director General of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority has issued a warning about a severe heat wave expected to hit districts like Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Multan in South Punjab. To address this potential crisis, heat wave counters have been set up in hospitals, and steps have been taken to ensure the availability of essential medications to prevent heat-related illnesses.
