The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a weather alert for Punjab, predicting rainfall from June 20 to June 22. The spokesperson mentioned that the province will experience hot and dry weather from June 16 to June 18, followed by thunderstorms and rain in most districts from June 18 to 22, especially in southern Punjab.

Prior to this alert, PDMA had forecasted the onset of monsoon rain in southern Sindh, including Karachi. Irfan Ali, the Director General of PDMA, has advised authorities to stay vigilant and urged citizens to consider weather conditions while preparing for Eid-ul-Adha. It is recommended to stay informed about weather forecasts, especially for those planning holiday travels.

Earlier this month, the Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of its drainage directorate. Additionally, the Sindh Human Rights Commission (SHRC) recently conducted a panel discussion where speakers emphasized the importance of taking precautionary measures ahead of the upcoming monsoon season.

As weather patterns shift, it is crucial for residents of Punjab and Sindh to stay informed about the upcoming rainfall. By heeding the advice of authorities and preparing adequately, individuals can ensure their safety and well-being during the changing weather conditions. Stay tuned for further updates and remember to prioritize safety during this period.
