The Meteorological Department warns of potential flooding and landslides in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to heavy rains. Residents urged to take precautions and stay informed on weather updates.

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for several districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Peshawar, due to the possibility of flooding and landslides. The weather is expected to remain cloudy in most areas, with Upper districts such as Dir, Swat, Kohistan, and Mansehra at particular risk.

Heavy rains are forecasted, increasing the likelihood of landslides in districts like Chitral, Abbottabad, Haripur, and Malakand. Strong winds and thundershowers are also expected in various regions, including Buner, Nowshera, Mardan, and Waziristan.

The current temperature ranges from 17 to 23 degrees Celsius, with humidity levels reaching up to 82%. In the past 24 hours, significant rainfall has been recorded across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with areas like Charat, Peshawar, Malam Jabba, and Dir experiencing substantial precipitation.

Residents are advised to take necessary precautions and stay updated on weather alerts to ensure their safety during this period of heightened risk.
