The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather alert for Lahore and parts of Punjab, predicting rain, wind, thunderstorms, and isolated hailstorms over the weekend. This forecast is attributed to a strong westerly wave prevailing over western Pakistan, expected to affect most parts of the country from 13th to 15th April.

On Friday night, areas including Murree, Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad, and others are likely to experience rain, thunderstorms, and hailstorms at isolated places. The weather conditions are expected to continue on Saturday and Sunday, affecting a wider range of areas in Punjab.

Lahore is expected to see maximum temperatures ranging from 34-36 degrees Celsius on Saturday and 32-34 C on Sunday. Meanwhile, the port city and other parts of the province experienced dry weather in the last 24 hours, with Bahawalpur recording the highest temperature at 39 C.

As per the latest observations, relative humidity levels in Lahore were recorded at 24 per cent during the evening, indicating dry weather conditions. Residents are advised to stay updated on weather alerts and take necessary precautions during the forecasted period of rain and thunderstorms.
