The Pakistan Meteorological Department issues a weather alert for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, forecasting rain, wind, and thunderstorms. Residents advised to take necessary precautions.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather alert for Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, forecasting more rain, wind, thunderstorms, and hailstorms. This prediction is based on a strong westerly wave prevailing over most parts of Pakistan. The affected areas include Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Malakand, Khyber, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi, Mardan, and Kuram. Isolated heavy rainfall is expected in the upper regions during this period.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, dry weather is anticipated in most districts of the province. However, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, and Malakand may experience more rain, wind, and thunderstorms in the morning hours. Peshawar's maximum temperatures are forecasted to range between 23-25 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 22-24 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.

Recent weather data shows that Peshawar and other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa experienced rain, with significant rainfall recorded in various areas. Saidu Sharif received 125mm, Dir (Lower 115mm, Upper 101mm), Malam Jabba 105mm, Chitral 81mm, and other regions also received substantial rainfall.

Dera Ismail Khan recorded the highest temperature in the province at 25 degrees Celsius, while Peshawar's maximum temperature was 19 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity in Peshawar during the evening was 85 per cent. The PMD advises residents to stay updated on weather alerts and take necessary precautions during these weather conditions.
