Residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should brace themselves for a change in weather conditions as the Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecasted rain, wind, thunderstorms, and gusty/dust-raising winds in the region. This weather pattern is expected to persist from Sunday evening through Tuesday.

The prevailing continental air over most parts of Pakistan, coupled with a shallow westerly wave in the northern regions, will bring mainly dry weather to Peshawar and other areas of Pakhtunkhwa. However, plain areas of the province may experience gusty winds that could raise dust. Isolated places such as Kurram, Chitral, Swat, Dir, Kohistan, and Balakot are likely to see rain-thunderstorms during this period.

Peshawar is expected to have maximum temperatures ranging from 32-34 degrees Celsius on Monday and 40-42 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. In the past 24 hours, the region experienced partly cloudy/dry weather, with rain occurring in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. Notably, Dera Ismail Khan recorded the highest temperature at 36 degrees Celsius, while Peshawar reached a maximum of 31 degrees Celsius.

Relative humidity levels were recorded at 58% in Dera Ismail Khan and 60% in Peshawar during the morning hours. It is advisable for residents to stay updated on weather alerts and take necessary precautions to stay safe during these weather fluctuations.

With the upcoming weather changes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it is essential for residents to be prepared for potential rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds. By staying informed and following safety guidelines, individuals can mitigate any risks associated with the fluctuating weather conditions.
