Port Qasim in Karachi, Pakistan, witnessed a busy day with diverse cargoes being handled, multiple ships departing and arriving, and a significant cargo volume managed within 24 hours.

Port Qasim, located in Karachi, Pakistan, was bustling with activity on Monday as several ships were scheduled to load and offload various cargoes. Threeships, MSC Antigua, Majestic Noor, and Advantage Paradise were docked at different terminals to handle containers, rice, and gas oil. Additionally, MSC Anchorage, Akij Moon, and Lila Confidence arrived at the outer anchorage to manage containers, cement, and chemicals.

During the past 24 hours, a total of eight ships were busy at PQA berths. Notably, three ships, Milaha Qatar, Bitumen Kosei, and MSC Antigua, set sail to sea on Tuesday morning, with Golde Trader expected to depart later in the day. The port handled a cargo volume of 79,975 tonnes, comprising 62,366 tonnes of imports and 17,609 tonnes of exports, including containerized cargo in 1,466 containers.

Currently, four ships are stationed at the Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, with Lila Confidence, FSM, and MSC Anchorage already present. Two more ships, Meratus Jayakarta and Tristar Prosperity, carrying chemicals, LPG, containers, and coal, are set to berth at different terminals on Tuesday. Furthermore, three additional ships, Maersk Cairo, Xpress Kaveri, and Lusail, carrying containers and LNG, are expected to arrive at Port Qasim on Wednesday.
