The recent tragic incident in the Badaber area of Peshawar has once again highlighted the alarming trend of violence stemming from property disputes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This year alone, the region has witnessed 148 deaths related to such conflicts, with land disputes being identified as a primary cause of enmity and bloodshed.

Land disputes, often triggered by disagreements over inherited property, have led to devastating outcomes, claiming the lives of innocent individuals, including women and children. In response to this escalating crisis, authorities and the government have taken steps to address the root causes of these conflicts and prevent further loss of life.

Legal expert Advocate Shahid Ali Yeftali has underscored the role of inherited property, particularly when female heirs are involved, in fueling these disputes.
