British Council Honors School Leaders in Pakistan

The recent School Leadership Excellence Awards, organized by the British Council, celebrated the dedication and hard work of 423 exceptional Head teachers from Federal, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These awards aimed to acknowledge their contributions towards enhancing leadership empowerment, promoting good governance, inclusive leadership, and driving instructional excellence in their schools.

The prestigious events took place in Multan, Islamabad, and Peshawar and were attended by key figures including the Minister of Elementary and Secondary Education Department in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Director General of Federal Directorate of Education. The British Council's Country Director in Pakistan emphasized the significance of the Schools Connect Leadership program in elevating school governance and ensuring quality education.

The implementation of the national head teacher Standard through professional development initiatives has led to notable improvements in teaching and learning outcomes.

Furthermore, the British Council's technical support extends to empowering parent-teacher councils in KP and schools' councils in Punjab to address educational challenges and promote inclusivity.
