Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti of Balochistan has declared the establishment of a parliamentary committee aimed at tackling the prevalent issues of violence and insurgency in the region. The committee's primary objective is to develop a comprehensive strategy to permanently resolve the challenges faced by Balochistan. It will focus on creating a consensus roadmap for the government to effectively address insurgency and terrorism, while also engaging with dissident groups willing to renounce violence.

Bugti emphasized that the committee's recommendations will be presented to the Federal Government for the implementation of robust measures to eliminate these threats from the province. He reiterated the government's firm stance against violence driven by personal interests, asserting a willingness to engage in dialogue within the constitutional framework.

The committee plans to engage with tribal leaders to gather insights on enhancing law and order in Balochistan. Bugti highlighted the importance of collaboration between the government, civil society, tribal leaders, and media in restoring lasting peace in the region. Additionally, efforts are underway to enhance security on roads and highways to ensure safe travel for the public.

Bugti's administration has outlined a 60-point reform agenda focusing on sectors such as health, education, agriculture, and livestock to improve governance and provide relief to the populace. Notably, the commission addressing missing persons' cases has successfully resolved 80% of the reported disappearances in Balochistan.

In response to a recent terrorist attack on an election camp, Bugti condemned the incident, underscoring the government's commitment to combating terrorism and ensuring the safety of all citizens.
