CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif Reviews Punjab Development Progress

During a recent meeting at the Planning and Development Board, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif meticulously reviewed the progress of various development projects under the Annual Development Program 2024-25. Emphasizing the importance of timely project completion, she instructed all relevant authorities to ensure adherence to deadlines. To facilitate monitoring, the CM directed the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) to establish a real-time dashboard for project tracking.

Addressing the urgency of the situation, CM Nawaz Sharif mandated the submission of PC-1 for all schemes by July 15 and urged swift execution of all projects. She advocated for redirecting funds towards essential sectors like healthcare and instructed relevant departments to explore opportunities for exporting meat, prawns, animals, and garments.

Notable highlights from the meeting included the initiation of ambulance services at every motorway interchange in Punjab and the impending completion of 106 development projects with foreign funding. The CM authorized the immediate release of Rs 400 million for ongoing projects and stressed the importance of efficient fund utilization.

Furthermore, the meeting delved into the progress of numerous district and provincial development projects, with a specific focus on health infrastructure renovation.
